CCMGA 2009 Scholarship Award
On April 16, 2009, The Captains Course Men’s Golf Association Board of Directors (CCMGA) unanimously voted Jeff Duggan of Orleans, MA as the recipient of the 2009 CCMGA Scholarship Award. Jeff is a 4 year member of the Nauset Varsity Golf Team and was the winner of the 2008 Massachusetts Golf Individual State Championship.
At Nauset High School, Jeff maintained a 3.30 grade average and ranked 55th in a class of 223. Jeff is active in community service including coaching baseball and working at junior golf clinics. He works at Cape Cod National Golf Course in the summers.
Teacher Coach Brian Hicks stated that “students like Jeff make teaching and coaching a joyâ€.
Jeff will attend St. Lawrence University in the fall and plans on a career in coaching golf and involvement with junior golf programs.
